This Part of EN 1915 specifies the conditions to be taken into consideration when calculating the strength andthe stability of GSE according to EN 1915-1 and the EN 12312 series under intended use conditions. Italso specifies general test methods.NOTE The methods given in this standard demonstrate one way of achieving an acceptable safety level. Methodsthat produce comparable results may be used. This Part of EN 1915 does not establish additional requirements for the following:-- operation elsewhere than in an airport environment;-- operation in severe conditions, e.g. ambient temperature below -20 ~C or over 50 ~C, tropical or saturated salty atmospheric environment;-- hazards caused by wind velocity in excess of the figures given in this European Standard;-- earthquake, flood, landslide, lightning and more generally any natural catastrophe. This Part of EN 1915 is not applicable to GSE which are manufactured before the date of publication by CENof this Standard.
This European Standard deals with whole body vibration as a significant hazard. ~ It also specifies themethods for determining the vibration emission transmitted to the whole body of drivers standing and/or seated onfreely moveable GSE, when driving for purposes of type evaluation, declaration and methods of verifying vibrationemission. The test results are not applicable to the determination of whole body vibration exposure of persons. This European Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the other parts of EN 1915, and with therelevant part of EN 12312.
This European Standard specifies the technical requirements to minimize the hazards listed in Clause 4 which can arise during the commissioning, operation and maintenance of passenger boarding bridges (PBBs) when used as intended, including misuse reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer, when carried out in accordance with the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorized representative. It also takes into account some requirements recognized as essential by authorities, aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE) manufacturers as well as airlines and handling agencies. This European Standard applies to: a) apron-drive bridges; b) fixed-head bridges (also referred to as nose-loaders) or pedestal bridges; c) suspended bridges, for embarking/disembarking of passengers. It is applicable from the interface with the terminal building, which can be movable, e. g. on two levels to separate arrival and departure level to the connection with the aircraft including fixed tunnels. This European Standard does not apply to: d) elevating lounges; e) passenger stairs; f) other form of aircraft access equipment; g) automatic PBB positioning. This European Standard does not establish requirements for hazards caused by noise and vibration. This part of EN 12312 is not applicable to PBBs which were manufactured before the date of publication of this standard by CEN. This part of EN 12312 when used in conjunction with EN 1915-1, EN 1915-2 and EN 1915-4 provides the requirements for PBBs.
This document specifies the technical requirements to minimise the hazards listed in Clause 4 which can ariseduring the commissioning, operation and maintenance of nitrogen or oxygen units when carried out in accordancewith the specifications given by the manufacturer or his authorised representative. It also takes into account someperformance requirements recognised as essential by authorities, aircraft and ground support equipment (GSE),manufacturers as well as airlines and handling agencies. This document applies to:-- all types of mobile nitrogen units and oxygen units with transportable gas cylinders interchangeable for filling purposes;-- equipment to be carried with other GSE or vehicles, e.g. skid mounted units, intended for the manual refill of gaseous nitrogen or oxygen on aircraft (Examples see Annex A).NOTE Generally oxygen units are used under aircraft maintenance conditions, not under commercial servicing conditions. This document does not establish requirements for noise and vibration.Noise and vibration are dealt with respectively in EN 1915-4 and EN 1915-3.This document does not deal with hazards in respect to a standard automotive chassis and from other vehicles onthe apron. This Part of EN 12312 is not applicable to nitrogen or oxygen units which are manufactured before the date ofpublication of this document by CEN.This part of EN 12312 is intended to be used in conjunction with EN 1915-1, EN 1915-2, EN 1915-3 (forvehicles) and EN 1915-4.
This part of ISO 13628 provides guidelines for the design, analysis, manufacture, testing, installation andoperation of flexible pipes and flexible pipe systems for onshore, subsea and marine applications. This part ofISO 13628 supplements ISO 13628-2 and ISO 13628-10, which specify minimum requirements for the design, material selection, manufacture, testing, marking and packaging of unbonded and bonded flexible pipe, respectively. This part of ISO 13628 applies to flexible pipe assemblies, consisting of segments of flexible pipe body withend fittings attached to both ends. Both bonded and unbonded pipe types are covered. In addition, this part ofISO 13628 applies to flexible pipe systems, including ancillary components. The applications covered by this part of ISO 13628 are sweet- and sour-service production, including exportand injection applications. This part of ISO 13628 applies to both static and dynamic flexible pipe systemsused as flowlines, risers and jumpers. This part of ISO 13628 does cover, in general terms, the use of flexiblepipes for offshore loading systems.NOTE Refer also to Reference [30] for offshore loading systems. This part of ISO 13628 does not cover flexible pipes for use in choke and kill lines or umbilical and controllines.
This International Standard provides guidelines on the quantitative collection and processing of subtidal soft bottom macrofaunal samples in marine waters. This International Standard encompasses: - development of the sampling programme; - requirements for sampling equipment; - sampling and sample treatment in the field; - sorting and species identification; - storage of collected and processed material. This International Standard does not specifically address the following, although some elements may be applicable: - bioassay sub sampling; - deep water or offshore sampling; - in situ faunal studies, e. g. recolonisation assays; - non benthic organisms caught in the sampling device; - estuarine sampling; - intertidal sampling; - meiofaunal sampling; - sampling by dredge and sledge; - Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) sampling; - statistical design. This International Standard applies to all areas of the sea floor where it is possible to collect faunal samples by a grab or coring device. For practical reasons, this applies to animals retained on a mesh screen of 0,5 mm or 1 mm aperture size.
